 For maths today, we had to create a car, train or a airplane. I've created a train. I've use 2D shapes and 3D shapes to create my project. I challenge you to try and create your own 3D creation or 2D creation.

Show not Tell

 For writing me and my group had to write a piece of writing about someones emotions but not say the jail word. I choose to do a writing about a all black that just scored a goal. This is what I came up with.

The all black dashes towards the try line & scores! All of his team mates come running towards him to give him high-5's and huges. They all stand in a wonky line and start to do the floss. As they were doing the floss, smiles poped onto everyone's face. The all black felt all these emotions rushing up him as if he had just climbed to the top of mount cook.

Bring Your Name To Life Minercaft

On Tuesday, Kathy's  kaiawhina had a chance to bring their name to life in Minecraft. First we had to plan out what our name was going to look like. 

My name was quite hard because I had a lot of letters in my name but I still managed to do it. I choose to use a light blue and a dark blue with a block lamp in the middle of my name. 

Next, we had to do a boarder around our name so it could stand out more. I just used dark blue blocks with a light blue glass. 

Since my name was long, it took me time and I had to finish it next week! When I was finished, I really loved it. I could of used different colors but I'm still happy with my name though.

Our dadwaver story

 For writing at school, we had to create our own dadwaver. This is the story that I came up with.

As I watch the contestant right next to me makes me soo nurse as the bike's mighty  roar makes a scene in my head and the high-pitched skids they do makes me think it’s all a dream. They all try to bump each other off their bikes to get a head start. “ Good luck to you ‘cause you gonna need it,” I hear from the proud contestant. The light dirty sand gets into one of my eyes and it starts to sting. One of the racers got bumped off their bike. She took 5 deep breaths and then rode down the lumpy hill as fast as she could. Racing down the lumpy hill makes me faster and faster as I ride in front of everyone The blazing sun shines upon us and makes us more and more sweaty.Why do people hate? I race down like a speeding bullet and come first place.

Our maths problem

 For math, we had to create a 7 digit number and make a screenCastify. This is the number I had to say.

After we had done our screenCastify, we had to create another number and had to create something else to show our working out. I did 1, 234,567.

In Lockdown,me and my family watch the new movie lion king! It was my second time watching it. When the songs came up, we were all singing it. I really loved it. These are some songs that I liked the most.

Travis Wetlands Reflection

On Thursday, the 6th of August, 2020, our inquiry group drove to the Travis Wetlands.

We went there to learn about the ecology of the Wetlands as a habitat.

We learnt that 90% of Christchurch was wetlands and now it's only 2% wetlands. I also learnt that without insects, there wouldn't be a wetland because it would of become a swamp. There is lots of beautiful animals and cool insects there like a black swan, waterboat men, Pukeko, Mallard duck, horse, and a paradise duck. I'm so glad that there's lots of cool species in New Zealand.

We got to go bird searching, and insect fishing. My favorite was the bug fishing because I found different types of bugs that I've never seen.

CRT Sphero Ramp

For CRT (Cool Rise Team) we had to create our own ramps for the sphero. In my group, I was working with Sitia and Elouise. 

The challenge was to create our own ramps for the sphero and see how far it can go.

Me and my friends used cardboard, scissors, tape and a pencil to create our ramp. The most challenging part about it was probably trying to make the sphero go up the ramp and not around it. We released when we were starting that we bent the cardboard too much and we had put supports under the ramp to hold it up.

Our sphero went 40cm long! I was sooooo happy but we didn't get to record it sadly:(

The Most Important Thing I've Learnt About ANZAC

The most important thing that I've learnt about ANZAC day is that we honour those who sacrificed their lives so that we could be free and we don't have to fight and sacrifice our lives.

I didn't realised that without those solders, we wouldn't be free or do anything else.

It made me sad when I heard that the soldiers that risked their lives and died in the war but I appreciate that the did that for us.

I think that it's important to honour those who died  for our country lest we forget.

The book is about a wimpy kid named Greg Heffley that can't tell on his brother if he hurts him other his secret is going to be told everywhere.  His brother Rodrick is always a bully to him and whenever Rodrick is in trouble, his brother Greg will also be in trouble is well even when he done nothing wrong. At the end of the story, Greg decides to be nice to his brother and help him with his homework.

The reason why I like this book is that its got pictures, it's funny and it's good for my reading.
